Dr Helena Elias


Visual Artist, Artistic Researcher and Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts Lisbon. Helena holds a PhD thesis about the censorship applied over the public art production by the Portuguese dictatorship (1933-1974). Through counter-image and ecocriticism practices, Helena operates in a forensic mode to create (dis)locations and (re)configurations. She currently investigates the (un)condition of a border through the ELSE project.
